The first thing that struck me -
1. The kid does this primarily to support her own and her siblings' education and daily needs.
2. The principal of the school says he is proud of the kid for doing this.
But, there is no mention of support from the school.
Why can't the school give her a scholarship or a stiphend ? Are schools a profit making business or an essential service ? Should only government schools be interested in the true interests of the children ? Can a school that does not care for the wholesome interests of the kid really be called a 'school' ?
thanks for your posts!
